sciatica pain in the left buttock, right buttock, butt cheek, posterior pelvis, hips, and legs - sciatic nerve pain relief treatment

Sciatica pain in the left buttock, right buttock, butt cheeks, bum, lumbar lower back, posterior pelvis, hips, thighs, legs, and feet is all to common.  However, there is an alternative, safe, and natural therapeutic self-treatment for symptoms of sciatic nerve pain, numbness, tingling, burning sensation, pins and needles, radiating, and shooting pain in the legs and feet.  For effective sciatica buttock pain relief treatment one must focus on treating the root cause of your sciatica symptoms.  The root cause of your sciatica relates to muscular imbalances in your lower extremities.  Correcting muscle imbalances must be the focus if you are to obtain long-term permanent sciatica pain relief.

The sciatic nerve is the largest nerve in the human body.  It starts out as five spinal nerve roots that exit the lower part of your spine.  These five nerve roots join together to form your sciatic nerve.  It then runs down past the buttocks, butt cheeks, through the hips, and down the entire length of each leg.  It serves as the final link between your brain and lower extremities.

Sciatica pain in the right buttock, left buttock, butt cheeks, bum, lumbar lower back, posterior pelvis, hips, and legs is very common in modern industrialized societies.

Lifestyles in modern industrialized societies are the biggest contributor to sciatica and sciatic nerve pain.  We spend more time sitting and lounging than our ancestors ever did.  Our time sitting and lounging with poor posture makes the situation even worse.  Unfortunately, sitting is actually a very unnatural position for our hips and spine.  Only a small percentage of individuals sit naturally with the proper posture.  Others do their best by trying to overcome the naturally slumping of the hips, buttocks, and low back.  An even larger percentage of us just sit with poor posture that is certainly going to cause us problems, if not now it will in the future.

Sciatica is not just limited to those individuals who spent a large percentage of their day sitting with limited physical activity.  Individuals with a strong muscular base are often prone to the worst sciatica.  Unbalanced exercise routines, and physical activities create an unnatural environment around the sciatic nerve causing sciatica pain in the right and left buttock, butt cheeks, posterior pelvis, hips, legs, and feet.

Sciatica pain in the buttocks, butt cheeks, bum, hips, and lower extremities is caused by a pinch, compressed, stretched, and irritated sciatic nerve often due to inflammation as a result of an unnatural environment caused by muscle imbalances.

There are numerous muscles in the lower extremities, and their function is very complex as it relates to the lumbar low back, posterior pelvis, hips, and legs.  A single imbalance between any muscle and its opposing muscle can cause a domino effect. Effectively creating Sciatica and numerous other symptoms, and conditions that can have a profound affect on your entire body.

Pain is our bodies way of informing us of a problem. The condition that is responsible for your sciatica will likely cause you more pain and discomfort if left untreated.  Most of us want to fix the root cause of our sciatica, but we just don’t know how.  Some of us have tried, but have given up because conventional treatments lead us on a vicious cycle of continually treating symptoms without long-term permanent relief.  Trust me I know, they do nothing but cost you a lot of money and waste even more of your precious time.

KEEP reading, because I am about to show you a self-treatment that will restore muscular balance to your lower extremities to effectively eliminate your sciatica.  This treatment provides the added bonus of correcting muscle imbalances for your entire body.  Effectively realigning your spine and entire body to eliminate pain and create a stress free environment.

I used to walk about a mile. It hurts in the pelvic area, and also the hips. I can’t sit in my recliner for long periods of time. I started taking Lryica for about a year, it really got to the point where it just didn’t help anymore. I take pain pills twice a day. I just can’t function with this pain. Please help

I to have this problem on and off. I have been seeing a chiropractor for several months. I did feel some relief and here it is back again. Upon awaking that is when it starts. I take Naproxen 500 mg as needed. I do have osteoporosis, but I don’t know if this is contributing to this misery. I am feeling very depressed. I wish you relief.

  6. Janie Martinez says:

I have been in so much pain for 3 months straight. From my lower left side of buttocks radiating down to my left foot. I am not able to walk without assistance, I can’t get dressed without help, can’t stand or sit for more than 10 minutes. This pain is unbearable and has taken over my life. I am a single parent and I am seeking help. I have had steroid injections placed directly into the lumbar L5 S1 areas and taking prescribed pain medication. Please help I’m so depressed and feel useless and afraid of losing my job. I also had to resign from school because of this.

    • penny says:

Hi Janie, even though the comment is old I understand how you feel. My job ways on my mind too. I have had 2 neck fusions and my neck still hurts. My lower spine needs surgery, but I don’t want to do it. I am scared and don’t have enough time to take off from work. Every time I have a surgery it takes longer than expected to heal. I know what it feels like to be scared and frustrated. I am in bed today because both butt cheeks, thighs, legs, and back are booming with pain. God bless you and everyone out there in pain. A lot of people judge us because we don’t show a disability but we do have them inside!! God is real, I will talk to anyone who would like to share. robertsonp1964@ gmail.com

I have been in so much pain now for the last two years. When I sit for quite a long time my back hurts, and leg goes numb. My hamstring feels like pins and needles, and if I take a shower after I bend down I struggle to stand up strait. I get this unbearable pain in the right side of my hip just above the right buttock cheek. Please can you help, do I need to go for an operation? Forgot to mention, I struggle to climb stairs as well.

I have pain at the top of my right bum cheek that goes down my right leg to my knee. It feels like a radiating burning sensation, it hurts when walking, also I can’t walk on my ankles for the first ten minutes after I get up in morning. However, I don’t think they are connected.

  9. Elizabeth Hickey says:

My lower back on the right side hurts severely, it is numb down into my right butt cheek. Which is swollen, hurts, has a sharp stabbing pain, and is numb and tingly. This is the same area where it had a sever bruising from a fall off my horse that caused apparently, permanent damage. I was bruised from the back of my knee to the middle of my back on the same side. I had 3 fractured vertebra (2,3, and 4) in my lower spine.

  10. Daniel Tesfay says:

I have pain at the top of my right back feet that goes down my right leg and also sometimes my left leg. It feels like a radiating burning sensation that hurts when walking, also I can’t walk on my ankles for the first ten minutes after I get up in morning. However, I don’t think these two problems are connected.

  11. Alba clark says:

I have pain in my left butt cheek. I was diagnosed with 4 herniated discs . Usual pain is lower back realignment, which my chiropractor adjusts for me. This time nothing seems to work.

    • Jennifer Kauffman says:

I have had a hysterectomy Donna. Why do u ask?

    • Jenn S says:

I have had one and today I am in so much pain. I was in the military when this all started. I have been told it’s all in my head by many doctors. I am not able to walk, and in so much pain. I have done PT off and on and nothing has worked. I take pain medications everyday and half the time they don’t work. I have tried icing/heat and it’s not touching it. It hurts the worst when sitting straight. I wish the pain would go away! I haven’t been able to work since 2009.

  13. Kathy Small says:

I have had lower back pain for years now, and it has always been the same until about 6 months ago. I got up one morning and walked to the store, not even 2 blocks away, and from nowhere had a horrible pain from the back of my right leg just below right butt cheek, down to the back of my leg in the calf area. I’ve had the pain in my right leg before, but never just to the calf area. Why is that

  14. Lori says:

My pain is center back at bottom of butt cheek at crease where butt and thigh connect. Started today, not really sure exactly when. When I stepped out of car shooting pain came around front outside of thigh, and I can’t pick leg up to get into bed. I must lift my leg with my hands. The pain worsened over 4-5 hours. I can’t sit or lay on right side. Very painful when using the muscles, seems to have came on sudden and out of nowhere.

  15. Dick Marty says:

I have extreme pain at the bottom of my buttock cheeks and, across the area between my buttocks and scrotum. This has even affected my bowel movements, urinary frequency, and urgency at times. My MRI indicates I have multilevel severe central canal and bilateral foraminal stenosis.

  16. Zenaida Gallegos says:

Lower back pain, and right butt cheek pain goes all the way down my leg.

  17. Eugene aga says:

I have leg numbness and pain, lots of pain, down my right side, lower back, down my hip and butt-cheek. It’s so exhausting, I’m a 37 years old male who works 10-12 hours a day, 6 days a week. Pain is the worst after relaxing. Hate to say it, but I actually screamed a few times while getting up off the couch or bed. I hate drugs, and don’t want to get put under a knife. Any advice?

  18. Sheryl Ortiz says:

I have a lot of pain on my right side from my butt down my leg, and sometimes to my ankle. Laying and sitting is the worst sometimes. It helps if I lay down, and put legs on a high pillow with my favorite pet. Tomorrow I’m going to the doctor.

  19. Kim woods says:

I have this pain in my right butt cheek and it goes down my leg. It hurts when I walk and it hurts more when I sit. It’s so uncomfortable for me. Can you please help me, or tell me what I should do.

  20. Donna K. says:

I have had lower back pain since 2009. The pain can alternate between which side it will go down. A lot of times it’s my right side. I have been to many doctors, and now go to a pain clinic. That’s a joke and a half.
I have had 3 FAILED back surgeries which the doctors tell me everything is great and my back is fixed. HA!!! Everyday, I am in pain. And no one can do anything. The pain clinic won’t give anymore medications due to increased pain.
Yesterday, I started having the pain travel from my lower back straight down my right side. The pain is so severe, it makes me want to puke. Today, I am bedridden due to the pain. I wasn’t even bedridden after any of my surgeries. Wish I could snap a finger and say be gone. I know the doctors have talked about a fourth surgery, but odds are greater to end up in a wheelchair. What to do. Live with pain, or go for another surgery and hope everything gets fixed.

I have a loss of feeling in my left leg. I fell at work on a pile of rock, and landed on my lower back. I thought I broke my back. I have seen doctors, and they can’t find anything wrong. I have a lot of pain in my lower back down my left leg between my butt. I can’t hold my balance. I have foot drop and wear a brace on my left leg because I keep falling when I walk. I can’t stand up for a long time, or if I sit my left side goes numb and hurts. I can’t sleep at night because of this problem and due to the pain. My testicles feel like someone kicked me in the nuts. I have so much pain, and I don’t know what to do anymore, help please. Thank You DL.

  22. Julio Costilla says:

I too have the exact same symptoms as all of you. I have to use a walker, and its so hard to get out of bed. I can’t even cough either. A month ago I was able to walk, but now I can’t even walk or drive for that matter.

  23. Alice says:

Four months ago I stared having pain in the left butt cheek slightly above the leg crease. It’s hard to sit, lay on my backside, and on the left side. I do have numbness in that area and my lower back all with burning down the left leg. I was going to tell my doctor, but didn’t know how to say it to her. I do have protruding disc and disc degenerative disease. I was supposed to have surgery, but the surgeon will not do surgery unless needed. Well the surgeon won’t even see me to see how bad it is. I’m lost and sick and tired of this pain.

  24. teresa says:

I have been suffering with sciatica for over 4 yrs. 2 weeks ago, I fell at home and thought I had hurt my ribs, but I didn’t. For the past week I have had severe burning and numbness in the back of my legs, and my anus and vagina have become numb as well. Could my fall have triggered this? It is so difficult to feel anything with this strange numbness. Please reply, Thank you

  25. Sandra says:

I have had piriformis syndrome for over 17 years, but didn’t know what it was till about 4 years ago. My butt cheeks and thighs are so sore. I can’t walk nor lay on my sides nor back. I can’t sit nor stand and there is nothing that gets rid of this pain. The only thing that does relieve it sometimes is going for a deep massage from someone who knows what piriformis syndrome is and how to deal with it. With the proper massage, the pain will go away but you must always treat it because it will come back.

  26. Dave says:

I empathize with you all. I had severe sciatica a few years ago. I think it started when I bent over to far one day. There was a sharp, shooting pain originating in my right butt cheek and shooting down to my right foot. It made sitting or getting into my car almost impossible for several weeks.
I was already in cancer treatment at the time, so I was already taking narcotics (Oxycontin) but it didn’t seem to help. I asked for Flexeril, a muscle relaxer, but I was denied and offered PT instead. It eventually went away on it’s own. Ugh, what a horrible experience!

  27. susmita Debbarma says:

I have this pain in my right butt cheek and it goes down my leg. It hurts when I walk and it hurts more when I sit. It’s so uncomfortable for me. What should I do.
